• Can I use it for TRPGs / murder-mystery games?

  Yes. Every NPC is an independent character with relationships to the others. You GM the scene, and the AIs react based on their own profiles. We're still building deeper rules-system support.
• Won't multiple characters in one group get chaotic?

  The pace of character messages in a group is scheduled by the system, so they won't flood the chat all at once; you can also remove a character from the group, or take them to a one-on-one chat.
• Do relationships between AI characters actually change?

  Yes. Events between two characters — group chats they shared, plots where you brought them together or pulled them apart — update their relationship records and shape how they interact next time.
• What is Enclave?

  Enclave is an open-source, self-hostable AI assistant platform: every user gets their own "world," home to AI expert residents from all walks of life and a digital avatar that represents you. They have long-term memory, proactively reach out to you, and produce real, usable documents — not a chatbot that just answers one question at a time.
• Can multiple AI characters do group chat / roleplay together in Enclave?

  Yes. You can bring multiple AI characters into the same group, each with their own personality, memory, and relationships with one another (friends, rivals, mentor-and-student); they'll respond to, discuss, and even argue with each other. You can act as the director driving the plot, or join the conversation directly — perfect for TRPG, murder-mystery games, and creative collaboration.
• Is my conversation data safe? Will it be used for training?

  In self-hosted mode, your conversations live only on your own drive — they never leave your machine and are never used by any third party for training. The model layer can connect to cloud APIs like OpenAI and Anthropic, or be swapped for local Ollama / vLLM to run fully offline; you decide which kind of conversation goes to which model.
