AI is smart, but it doesn't know your things

General-purpose AI knows everything about the world and nothing about yours: your work notes, reading excerpts and project files are all invisible to it. Every question means pasting the background in from scratch, turning the chat box into a broken record.

Upload once, and the whole world shares the understanding

There are three ways to add content to your knowledge base: upload a file (txt, md, pdf, docx and doc are supported, up to 16 MB each), paste text directly, or drop in a URL for the system to fetch. Content is parsed into text and indexed automatically; from then on, when you talk with residents, AI retrieves the most relevant passages from the knowledge base as reference for its answers — no manual digging. You can also import your accumulated "world memories" in one click, or bind dedicated material to a specific character: let your doctor character read medical notes, and your lawyer character read statutes.

FAQ

• Can I download my original files back?

  No. Enclave extracts the text and does not keep the original file; what you see on the detail page is the parsed full text — please keep your own originals.
• Which characters can read my knowledge base?

  By default, all residents in your world can cite it in conversation; material bound to a specific character is available only to that character.
• Where is this material stored when self-hosting?

  Together with your world data. When self-hosting, everything stays on your own machine and never passes through a third party.
