An Enclave pet starts as an egg: it hatches, then grows through infancy and adolescence to adulthood, its look and build changing with each stage. It has six moods — happy, content, hungry, dirty, tired, and missing you — each with its own expressions and lines, and care only works when it matches the mood. Feeding, playing, cleaning and petting each have cooldowns: a pet isn't a clicker machine, and care has a rhythm. Keeping it up earns small rewards into your pocket money, while care streaks and closeness milestones unlock achievements. When food and toys run out, restock at the shop.
